A man was found shot to death in a crashed car at a Durham intersection early Monday morning.

At 1:30 a.m., Durham Police officers responded to a shooting near the intersection of E. Carver Street and Commons Boulevard. When officers arrived, they located a crashed vehicle with a man inside who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

This remains an active investigation.

E. Carver Street is closed from N. Roxboro Street to Meriwether Drive while officers investigate.
