The Houston Texans are hoping to pull off a stunning NFL Divisional Round upset on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs and deny Patrick Mahomes and company a shot at the league's first-ever Super Bowl three-peat.

But the Texans and their fans are now worried about the health of quarterback C.J. Stroud.

After the Chiefs capitalized on a huge return of the opening kickoff and converted a field goal to take an early 3-0 lead, Stroud drove the Texans deep into Kansas City territory on their first possession of the game. But facing third down in the red zone, Stroud was flushed from the pocket and forced to scramble for a minimal gain, bringing on the field goal unit.

Stroud was spotted limping back to the Houston sideline after the play:

Houston settled for a short field goal from Kaʻimi Fairbairn to knot the game at 3-3, but now the Texans are left to hope their starting quarterback is healthy enough to stay in the game and deliver an upset.
