DETROIT -- As usual, the Detroit Lions' social media and visual team captured the sights and sounds from the locker room after a historic win Sunday night at Ford Field. The room was filled with a wide range of emotions.
In doing so, they documented something arguably unprecedented since Dan Campbell's post-victory speeches began surfacing online: the Lions' head coach was outshined by the words of one of his players -- an offseason acquisition.
Wearing a Honolulu Blue and Silver division championship T-shirt and hat like his players, and popping off the ground with a loud "Oh" following a team prayer, Campbell addressed the locker room after a 31-9 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The win clinched the Lions' second consecutive NFC North crown and secured home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, earning them the NFC's No. 1 seed.
"You guys look like you remember who the (expletive) you are. That's awesome," Campbell said. "That's a hell of a win, guys. All I can think about is, man, we've been forced into this stuff now. This has been three years in the making -- some of it four.
"That just doesn't happen. You gotta work through it, grind through it, and go through the downs to get to the ups to where we're at. That was unbelievable, man. Division winners, back-to-back seasons. That was a total team effort."
From there, Campbell highlighted several players, starting with his second-year running back.
"I got three game balls on offense: 23 carries, 139 yards, three touchdowns, five catches for 31 yards, one touchdown -- broke the franchise record for touchdowns in a season, Jah Gibbs."
Gibbs kept it short, saying, "Appreciate y'all boys. Couldn't do it without y'all. Love y'all. Let's keep going."
Next, Campbell recognized a cornerback who played a key role in limiting Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
"On defense: Five total tackles, alright? One pass defended. Only gave up 18 -- had three catches. Mr. Amik Robertson," Campbell said.
Robertson delivered an all-time quote, which he later shared with reporters during postgame media sessions.
"I mean it from the bottom of my heart, man," Robertson said. "I appreciate y'all, man, because y'all gave me a chance to showcase what I could do when they tried to bury me, dog. But they can't bury what comes from the (expletive) dirt. Hey, let's get that big one, man. Let's keep on working, man. I love y'all."

Campbell concluded his game ball presentations by honoring linebacker and captain Alex Anzalone, who returned to the lineup after missing time with a broken forearm suffered in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
"Hey, every time you get this, this is a team award, but defense, I'm proud of you today, man. I'm proud of the defense today," Anzalone said. "Just for y'all -- appreciate you. Love it."
Anzalone finished with seven tackles, a pass deflection, and a quarterback hit.
"It's a hell of a win, man. Back-to-back (NFC North champions)," Campbell said as he closed his speech. "What we've done is not easy. It's not easy, but I'm telling you what, man, we've said it all along -- we've got a special group, man, and this has been coming a long time. That's a lot of hard work, and we are the number one (expletive) seed with a bye, gentlemen. Good job."
