The stock market rallied in the final hour of trading on Monday as those still on Wall Street looked to get their last trades in before the market closes early on Christmas Eve.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 67 points, or 0.2%. The S&P 500 was up 0.7%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 1%. Technology stocks were rising all day, but the Dow and a larger chunk of the S&P joined in the rally shortly before the market closed. A majority of S&P 500 stocks closed higher for the second trading day in a row.

The yield on the 2-year Treasury note was up to 4.35%. The 10-year yield was up to 4.59%.
