Joan Marilyn Mills

AUGUSTA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Joan Mills, on Christmas Day. She was born on July 10, 1938, the daughter of Leonard and Vivian Small.

She loved spending time with her family and friends taking rides to the Coast, camping and playing BEANO.

Joan was predeceased by her parents, stepfather Stanley O'Donal, stepmother Dorothy Small; her brothers Leonard Jr, Lloyd and Gene Small, stepsister Faye Towle; granddaughter Jenna Wyse; and great-grandson Landon Gardner.

She is survived by her children Vivian Roy-John, Gary Hamilton-Kathy, Willy Mills-Noella, and Barry Mills; nieces, nephews; several grand and great grandchildren; stepsisters Maxine, Bettyann, and Coreen, sister-in-law Gerlinda Small; and daughter-in-law Lori Vienneau.

The family would like to express our appreciation and thanks to the staff at MaineGeneral Hospice and Glenridge Comfort Care Unit for their support and compassionate care they gave to our Mom.

There will be a graveside service later this spring at the Medway Cemetery.
