TRAVIS AFB -- Beginning Monday, and every last Monday of the month from 7:30 to 9 a.m., the Travis Air Force Base Exchange is offering sensory-friendly shopping.

The store's atmosphere will be adjusted by reducing noise and lighting to create a peaceful space for those who need a more comfortable shopping experience.

There will be no public announcements, overhead music and minimal interactions with associates. The beeping sounds on the cash register will be adjusted to a lower volume.

All shoppers to help maintain a calm and quiet environment during this time.
