Starbucks is changing its policy so that people who use the store to go to the bathroom or hang out must purchase something.
It marks a change from its open-door policy in place since 2018.
That original change came after two Black men were arrested in a Philadelphia location where they planned to have a business meeting but didn't purchase anything. The video of the arrest made the rounds online and was a major embarrassment for the company, the Associated Press said.
