Alina Habba falsely claims family separations 'didn't happen' in Trump's first term

On Tuesday, Fox News host Bill Hemmer asked Habba about future border czar Tom Homan's admission that family separations "may happen" under the new administration.

"Nobody is breaking up families," Habba insisted. "Nobody is targeting individuals and making sure that one over the other goes out. That doesn't happen under President Trump."

"It didn't happen before, but you do not have a right to come here to endanger us or not come in here the right way."

During Trump's first administration, the U.S. government's policy separated families who sought asylum after crossing the border illegally.
