Who was the best girls athlete on the Northshore for the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 1? Vote now.

There were plenty of impressive statistical showings among girls athletes on the Northshore last week.

Here's your chance to make your vote count and choose the Northshore Girls Athlete of the Week. The poll will wrap up at noon on Wednesday, and the winner will be recognized on the NOLA.com prep sports Facebook page and the St. Tammany Farmer Facebook page.

Alanna Benoit, Mandeville: The junior guard averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4.75 assists and 4.5 steals as the Skippers went 3-1 last week.

Miranda Holincheck, Hannan: The senior scored a game-high 13 points as the Hawks cruised to a 50-20 District 7-4A win at Pearl River on Jan. 31.

Jessie Kergosien, St. Scholastica: The senior defender anchored the backline as the second-seeded Doves cruised to a 8-0 first-round playoff win over Belle Chasse last week.

Jenna Lassere, Lakeshore: The junior won all four of her 132-pound matches by pin to earn the Most Outstanding Wrestler honors at the St. Tammany Parish Meet on Feb. 1.

Sophia Ontimara, Pope John Paul II: The junior posted a hat trick as the Jaguars earned a 3-0 first-round playoff win over Holy Savior Menard on Jan. 30.

Cherie Spencer, Northshore: The North Texas signee scored a career-high 52 points including 20 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 78-70 District 7-5A win over Fontainebleau on Jan. 31.

Ali Tujaque, Northlake Christian: The sophomore recorded a hat track at the Wolverines earned a 3-0 first-round playoff win over Vermilion Catholic on Feb. 1.
