A man was arrested on Tuesday, November 19, after stealing a tractor and leading officers from several law enforcement agencies on a chase through three small Louisiana towns, according to authorities.
Footage captured by Orian Davis shows the arrest taking place in Broussard, at the intersection of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Morgan Street.
According to a statement from the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office, officers from the Louisiana State Police, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, the Youngsville Police Department, and the Broussard Police Department all pitched in to stop the suspect.
The tractor was reported stolen earlier that morning in the Youngsville area and was later spotted in Maurice, where an officer attempted a traffic stop.
Police said the driver tried to evade arrest by forcing a Maurice police officer off the road before fleeing the scene.
Officers deployed spike strips at the intersection of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and South Morgan Avenue in Broussard, successfully disabling the tractor and taking the suspect into custody.
