Several area basketball games were called off Tuesday night due to the winter snowstorm that swept through the Mid-Missouri area.
The Jefferson City Jays and Lady Jays both had their Central Missouri Activities Conference road games postponed.
The Jefferson City boys will play at Camdenton in a conference tripleheader Saturday. The C team game starts at noon, followed by the JV game at 1:15 p.m. and the varsity at 2:30 p.m.
The Jefferson City girls had their doubleheader at Battle postponed until next Tuesday. In the main gym, the varsity girls game tips off at 6 p.m., followed by the Jefferson City-Battle boys game at 7:30 p.m. In the auxiliary gym, the JV boys start at 6 p.m., followed by the JV girls at 7:30 p.m.
The Helias Crusaders and the Capital City Cavaliers had their boys games postponed until Thursday, with Helias playing at Sedalia Smith-Cotton and Capital City hosting Kauffman. For both teams, the JV game starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 7 p.m.
The Blair Oaks Falcons postponed their Tri-County Conference boys home game against California, but a rescheduled date has not been announced.
Also in the Tri-County, the School of the Osage boys team had its home game against Hallsville postponed until Thursday, Feb. 27. The varsity game tips off at 7:30 p.m.
The varsity doubleheader between Fatima and Southern Boone has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
The Central State 8 tripleheader between New Bloomfield and Harrisburg has been postponed until Thursday in New Bloomfield. The JV boys tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity girls and the varsity boys.
As a result of that postponement, the New Bloomfield boys postponed Thursday's originally scheduled game at St. Elizabeth until Friday. The St. Elizabeth girls will host Eugene at 5 p.m., followed by the St. Elizabeth-New Bloomfield boys game at 6:30 p.m.
The Versailles Tigers' home game against Boonville has been postponed until Thursday, Feb. 27. The varsity game will begin at 7 p.m.
The Chamois Pirates have postponed their home game against Columbia Independent until Thursday, with a tip-off at 6:30 p.m. As a result, Chamois' originally scheduled home game Thursday against Tipton has been pushed back to Friday, with a start time of 6 p.m.
The Vienna boys and girls teams postponed Tuesday's road games against Crocker, but a rescheduled date has not been announced.
In addition to the Fatima-Southern Boone doubleheader, Tuesday's games that were canceled and will not be rescheduled include the Jamestown girls at Versailles, the Iberia boys at Dixon and the Belle girls against Dixon.
The South Callaway boys and girls teams were scheduled to host Fayette on Tuesday, but no announcement has been made about rescheduling the Central State 8 games.
The regular season for Class 1-3 teams concludes Saturday. The Class 4 regular season ends Saturday, March 1, while Class 5-6 teams can still play regular-season games prior to their postseason starting March 5-6.
