The Irish actor was spotted donning Tommy Shelby's trademark flat cap and three-piece suit as he shot scenes along the Dudley Canal in Netherton on Wednesday, November 20.
Images and video footage from eagle-eyed fans showed production crews hard at work near Bumble Hole and Warrens Hall Nature Reserve, battling the snow that had blanketed the region.

This is the second time Netherton has been the backdrop for the filming of the highly anticipated movie, with Oblik Productions Ltd, the company behind the film, having been in the area earlier in October.
Signs put up in the area this week informed locals that filming was taking place on November 19 and 20, which was hopefully unaffected by the weather.
Narrowboats and carts were seen on set, alongside a variety of other snow-covered props.
The details of the movie are being kept under wraps, with no confirmed release date as of yet.
It is expected to pick up where the beloved TV series left off, following the Shelby family entering the Second World War.
