Apollo Radiology International (ARI), a specialised radiology venture within the Apollo Hospitals Group, has strengthened its global teleradiology footprint with the acquisition of InHealth Group's radiology reporting wing.
ARI is estimated to report more than two million scans a year. This encompasses 24 countries and includes more than 200 organisations.
The alliance merges InHealth's proficiency in delivering radiology reporting for the NHS with ARI's international presence, technical prowess, and AI-driven solutions.
The joint effort between ARI and InHealth is set to expand reporting services to a larger array of NHS affiliates throughout the UK.
This venture aims to address shortages in radiology staffing and guarantee that patients obtain precise and prompt diagnoses.
ARI CEO and medical director Sreenivasa Raju Kalidindi said: "We are excited about our partnership with InHealth, reinforcing ARI's commitment to excellence and innovation in radiology.
"Guided by our distinguished Clinical Leadership Council, comprised of leading radiologists and healthcare professionals, we ensure the highest standards of clinical governance and strict compliance with NHS requirements. Together, we are poised to address the global radiologist shortage while delivering exceptional quality service."
As an international examination provider for The Royal College of Radiologists and a recruitment collaborator with NHS England, ARI has been assisting the NHS through numerous initiatives for more than eight years.
This alliance with InHealth further strengthens ARI's commitment to training, accrediting, and delivering vital diagnostic support to the NHS and beyond.
InHealth CEO Geoff Searle said: "InHealth is delighted to be partnering with ARI. Both organisations share an approach which puts quality at the heart of all our services.
"We are particularly excited about the opportunity this brings to support our NHS partners in addressing the shortage of Radiologists, not only through offering an expanded teleradiology service but through a suite of technological innovations that are now possible through working with ARI."
InHealth is claimed to be the UK's largest specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions.
The company conducts tests, scans, and examinations for over four million patients every year across more than 800 locations throughout the UK.
