The biological family of a young boy who was at the center of an Ohio Amber Alert before allegedly being killed by his legal guardian has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.Five-year-old Darnell Taylor was found dead inside a sewer in February, two days after his disappearance triggered a statewide Amber Alert.Pammy Maye, 48, was the legal guardian of 5-year-old Taylor. Columbus police believe Maye suffocated Taylor before leaving his body in the sewage drain.Maye, who has been charged with murder in Franklin County, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. The lawsuit filed by Taylor's biological family names 22 defendants, including the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.The lawsuit alleges that the defendants "looked away" or "turned a blind eye to clear and present indications of ongoing abuse and neglect."
