Wynne Evans has told fans 'that's it' as he was seen alongside Katya Jones for the last time as a competing couple on Strictly Come Dancing. The pair were the eighth couple to be eliminated from the BBC One dance contest last weekend.
Opera singer Wynne and his professional dance partner Katya had to bounce back as they headed to Blackpool for the show's annual special in the world-famous Tower Ballroom having found themselves saved from elimination the previous weekend after landing in the bottom two with Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu.
Their Blackpool appearance saw Wynne finish their Charleston routine by swinging his dance partner by her feet. Anton Du Beke praised Wynne's dance to Georges Bizet's Carmen Suite No 1: 5. Les Toreadors for his enthusiasm and commitment but told him he looked "exhausted towards the end of the dance".

But it wasn't enough as the pair found themselves in the dreaded dance-off for a second week in a row. This time they found themselves under the dreaded red lights against Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe during theresults show on Sunday night (November 17), also the second time the pairing his found themselves in the dance-off during the 2024 series.
The judges unanimously chose to save Montell and Johannes, sending them through to week ten of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series while Wynne and Katya were sent home.
Following their last appearance on spin-off It Takes Two in which they discussed their week nine exit, Wynne took to Instagram with a beaming snap of himself and Katya posing in front of a glittering silver all. Alongside the post, he wrote: "That's it from Evans & Jones for now. Last radio show done. I've had the best time and that's down to @katyajones and absolute legend. You're amazing. Thank you everyone for cheering us on! Katya - Diolch."
Katya was quick to respond to the post, writing in the comments: "Once your Strictly partner, Forever your Strictly Partner." And fans of the pair were also rushing to leave their messages.
