BEREA, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Browns have placed T Dawand Jones on injured reserve and signed T Geron Christian to the active roster from the Rams' practice squad.

Jones was carted off the field with a leg injury in the first half of the Browns 35-14 loss to the Saints in New Orleans.

After the game Kevin Stefanski said Jones' injury would require surgery and he will miss the rest of the season.

Jones appeared in 10 games this season with five starts at right tackle and three starts at left tackle prior to his injury.

Christian, a familiar face in Cleveland, started nine games at left tackle for the Browns last season, and appeared in one game with the Rams this year.

Originally a third-round pick by Washington in 2018, Christian is in his seventh NFL season out of Louisville, and has appeared in 59 games with 25 starts.
