Does everyone get it yet that SMU will probably get into the College Football Playoff?It still has to win at Virginia and deal with a Cal team that's more dangerous than everyone is letting on, but after two weeks off the team is rested and ready for the finishing kick.

Close out with three straight wins, go to the ACC Championship, and at 12-1 the team would get a top four seed, and at 11-2 it would probably be around 11th, but it's got the shot to take care of this by itself.Boston College needs a win to go bowling. It's been a solid first season under head coach Bill O'Brien, saved by a win over Syracuse to stop a three-game losing streak. It can make a huge statement with a win in Dallas, and if it doesn't, it has to get the sixth win against either North Carolina or Pitt at home.

SMU keeps jumping over the bar the higher it's being set. It overcame a ton of turnovers to win games, it cranked up the defense to shut down Pitt, and if the team was named, say, Florida State, it would be ranked in the top five right now.

Boston College has changed quarterbacks, Thomas Castellanos is transferring, and now it's on Grayson James to be great. The running attack will give the Mustangs a few problems, but the secondary is about to get lit up. The SMU offensive balance and versatility will come through with another terrific performance.
