iOS 18.2 is launching next month, and with it a new wave of Apple Intelligence features. One of the most powerful additions: ChatGPT is getting baked into Siri and the new system writing tools on AI-compatible devices. Here's how that works, and the key details you'll want to know.

Certain Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18.2 will require a special waitlist for access. Fortunately, ChatGPT support is not one of those features, so you can use it immediately upon installing the new software.

Currently iOS 18.2 is only available in a beta release. You can download and install it with a developer account or join the public beta.

If you'd prefer to avoid betas altogether, iOS 18.2 is expected to ship publicly around mid-December.
