A 64-year-old man is facing a murder charge after his 24-year-old daughter was found shot to death in their home, Ohio deputies and news outlets reported.
The woman's sister found her unresponsive in the early hours of Jan. 27, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office told WCPO.
The sister started to perform CPR on the woman lying in the front room of the Sycamore Township home, deputies said, according to local news outlets. When first responders arrived, they discovered the woman had been shot.
Heather Thompson was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead, deputies said, according to WXIX.
Thompson's father, identified as Franklin Thompson, was later found in the neighborhood, officials told WLWT. Deputies said he had a gun on him.
Franklin Thompson lived in the home with his two daughters, deputies said, according to WXIX.
He was arrested and charged with murder, officials told WLWT. He's currently being held in Hamilton County Jail awaiting arraignment, jail records show.
His attorney information was not listed.
Sycamore Township is about an 11-mile drive northeast from Cincinnati.
