Microsoft has announced that its workplace management solution, Places, is now generally available to bolster hybrid and flexible working.

Microsoft Places brings AI-powered location insights to Teams and Outlook, enhanced by Microsoft 365 Copilot. This innovation seeks to help employees optimise their in-office days to foster more meaningful in-person connections.

It was also a major event for Copilot. Microsoft is introducing new Copilot agents to simplify complex business processes. These include agents for SharePoint, Planner, and an Employee Self-Service Agent that addresses workplace policy questions.

Meanwhile, specific to Teams, the Facilitator agent in Teams meetings takes real-time notes and shares key insights, currently in preview. Set for early next year, the Interpreter Agent will provide real-time translation in Teams.

Moreover, Microsoft unveiled its new Interpreter agent earlier this week. The tool will give Teams users the option to create a voice profile that the Interpreter could use so that its real-time translations would sound just like those of its associated user.

Additionally, Microsoft has added Lenovo, MAXHUB, Shure and AudioCodes as new Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) partners.

Finally, Microsoft has announced that the Surface Hub 3 has been upgraded with third-party console support to elevate meeting experiences.

Korbyt has become the first digital signage partner to join the Zoom ISV Exchange Program.

The program allows Zoom to integrate solutions from Korbyt and other independent software vendors (ISVs) into its AI-powered collaboration platform 'Zoom Workplace'.

"We are excited to welcome Korbyt to the ISV Exchange Program," said John Stearns, Global Head of Zoom Spaces. "Korbyt can help customers elevate their Zoom Rooms digital signage experience with dynamic digital signage that offers a variety of customisation and integration options."

This includes the leader in brand and workplace experience's Korbyt Anywhere solution, which will now be accessible to Zoom's customers. This will provide them with a way of meeting their workplace experience (WEX) requirements without needing further invoices and vendor agreements.

SIPPIO has announced its new Beacon solution, a business intelligence tool integrated directly into its portal that delivers critical business insights.

Built into SIPPIO Portal, SIPPIO Beacon is designed to handle tasks, deliver insights, and implement changes through intuitive, natural-language interactions. Available to reseller and service provider partners, SIPPIO highlights Beacon as a significant advancement in its commitment to making communications faster, easier, and more adaptable.

George Tarzi, Director of Development & Innovation at SIPPIO, commented:

SIPPIO Beacon makes our services more accessible through intuitive, conversational interactions. "We're empowering our partners and their customers with faster, easier, and more flexible ways to manage communications services."

SIPPIO emphasises that Beacon harnesses Gen AI to transform complex tasks into simple, conversational interactions. The company says that when partners need data, a proposal for a customer, insights into upsell opportunities within their install base, or bulk updates to a customer account, they can ask Beacon.
