How Much Could An Uber Drive Make In Washington?

How Much Could An Uber Drive Make In Washington?

I find it funny that most of us grew up being taught to be careful who we talk to on the internet and don't take rides from strangers.

Now, we pay strangers on the internet to come to pick us up and take us to our destination based on a digital photo and community review.

Still, it seems sketchy to me, but it is the way of the world now, and the latest study shows that it can be a pretty lucrative one.

I worked as a medical courier for about 13 years and enjoyed it. But I can also say that my paycheck wasn't nearly as high as what is reported in this study, so there might be something to it, especially when you can use the service to help supplement your other income.

Atlanta-based Injury Lawyers Bader Scott crammed the numbers from Salary.com and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for Uber drivers throughout the United States.

By doing this, as of the end of July of 2024, we now know in which states pay out the most to these entrepreneurs behind the wheel!

As it should come as no surprise when you really think about it, California and New Jersey ranked in the top 2 spots, respectively.

But where does Washington rank in terms of average annual Uber salary?

Pretty good, all things considered!

Ranking in at #5, only being beaten out by Massachusetts and Alaska, the average annual salary an Uber driver can make in the evergreen state is $42,202. Only about a thousand less than California's average.

Looking at the national average of $28,610, you can figure out that the hourly wage is roughly $21.90. Not too shabby for a job we were raised to be wary of.
